Hello everyone. I have blogged before for my scrapbooking but now I feel I would like to start working harder on my geneology and share it with others that are looking for the same names and information. My goal is to find out more about my family and where they came from, what brought them to the United States and how we as a family have gotten where we have gotten.
I hope that the information that I find will help those in search for their own roots.
To start things out I would like to share with you my favorite sites to find out information. The first is a no brainer but I just recently found out it is no longer available for free but I will share it with you anyhow.
Ancestry.com is a wonderful site that has so many resources and also has things like newspapers and family histories on them. I have gotten a lot of information off of there. Through my research if I find anything pertanent there I will let you know. My most favorite of resources there is the Census Records. While looking into my husband's family I have found much important information there. Of coarse, I can not "share" any images but I can share with you the information that I have found.
Another great site is Rootsweb. I have had some great results here.
